In a significant milestone for the brand, Segway Powersports announced that its newly released Super Villain SX20T sport side-by-side has completely sold out of its initial inventory allocation. According to reports from UTV Action Magazine, the strong market reception followed a two-week pre-order window that commenced in early March 2026.
The Super Villain marks a shift in Segway’s powersports strategy, moving away from utility-focused models toward high-performance off-road engineering. At the heart of this machine is a 2.0T GDi engine capable of producing 235 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is priced at an MSRP of $33,999 and is available in White/Red or Black/Black colorways.
JJ Pecsok, National Sales Director for Segway Powersports, noted that the company intentionally avoided a rushed release to ensure the vehicle met high-performance expectations. "We could have rushed this product to market, but we chose to take the time to refine the quality, tuning, and overall experience," Pecsok stated, as cited by UTV Action Magazine.
The development of the Super Villain involved a collaborative approach, with Marketing Director Gabriel Cruz highlighting that the design team relied heavily on input from dealers, professional drivers, and the broader off-road community. This feedback loop was supplemented by rigorous testing in desert racing environments, often utilizing the Segway Factory Racing program to push the platform to its limits.
For customers who missed the first wave, there is a path forward. Segway has confirmed that units are currently arriving at dealerships, with additional stock anticipated throughout the second quarter of 2026. Dealerships are currently being encouraged to coordinate with their respective District Sales Managers to secure allocations for upcoming shipments.
