Polaris has raised the bar in the performance UTV market with the introduction of the RZR Pro R Ultra Edition. According to Polaris, this new flagship model sits atop their 'wide open' lineup, boasting a range of upgrades, most notably the DYNAMIX DVS Suspension System and the first factory application of electronically-controlled hydraulic locking sway bar links in a UTV.
The RZR Pro R Ultra Edition builds upon the existing RZR Pro R platform. The standard RZR Pro R features a 1997cc four-cylinder engine producing 225 horsepower and suspension with a reported 29 inches of travel. Polaris aimed to push the boundaries even further with the Ultra Edition.
Polaris collaborated with Suspension Direct Inc (SDi) to develop the enhanced DYNAMIX DVS suspension. The key innovation is the electronically-controlled hydraulically locking sway bar links. This system allows for fully independent articulation at each corner of the vehicle. Polaris claims this improves impact absorption, smooths the ride, minimizes body roll, and maximizes handling. Polaris also notes that the system contributed to the Factory Racing program's UTV Overall victories in every major race of the 2025 season, including the Baja 1000 and the 2025 SCORE Series Championship.
The DYNAMIX DVS system manages all four corners of the vehicle continuously. It offers three selectable settings:
- Semi-Active: Locks and unlocks up to 200 times per second for optimal handling response.
- Locked: Provides maximum stability.
- Unlocked: Allows for full articulation.
Beyond the suspension upgrades, the RZR Pro R Ultra Edition includes an MPI Racing steering wheel and 32" BFGoodrich KM3 tires. The vehicle features a Velocity Blue color scheme with GatorStep interior accents.
The RZR Pro R Ultra Edition is a limited production model, with only 500 units being manufactured. The two-seater model has a starting price of $46,999, while the four-seater starts at $50,999. According to Polaris, shipments are scheduled to begin in February.
