In a high-stakes demonstration of speed and precision, Kyle Chaney conquered the Silver State 300 in his debut appearance at the event. According to a report by Dirt Wheels, Chaney piloted his Can-Am Maverick R to a victory that was decided by a razor-thin margin of just 53 seconds over the top three finishers after five hours of intense desert racing.
A Test of Speed and Strategy
The Silver State 300 is notorious for its high-speed terrain, which leaves virtually no margin for error. Chaney noted that the race required constant focus, relying heavily on the precise navigation of Saydiie Gray. By maintaining a clean line and consistent pace, the duo managed to bridge the gap to the leaders, ultimately securing the top spot on the podium.
Chaney credited the durability of the Can-Am Maverick R for his ability to maintain speed throughout the grueling course. "The Can-Am Maverick R was good all day," Chaney told Dirt Wheels. "Silver State 300 is a fast track that’s hard to make up time on, so we kept up the pace with a racer ahead of us and caught up to him, so we knew we had him beat."

Can-Am Performance Across the Field
The success of the Can-Am brand was not limited to Chaney's individual win. The manufacturer saw a massive showing of consistency, with six Can-Am drivers and their navigators finishing in the top ten. This performance underscores the reliability of the Maverick R platform in the American Off-Road Racing Championship (AORC) series.
As the series progresses, Can-Am continues to hold a strong position in the standings. Phil Blurton remains at the forefront of the 2026 UTV Pro AORC leaderboard. The racing circuit now looks toward the upcoming Vegas to Reno event, scheduled for August 13–16, where teams will look to capitalize on the momentum gained during the Silver State 300.
