According to a report from UTV Action Magazine, Honda has officially begun the production cycle for the 2026 Pioneer 1000 Deluxe. The milestone was marked by a celebration on April 24 at the company's South Carolina Manufacturing (SCM) plant in Timmonsville, involving leadership from both the production facility and the Georgia-based Power Sports & Products headquarters.
The 2026 Pioneer 1000 Deluxe arrives with significant updates, most notably the integration of throttle-by-wire technology. This advancement is designed to provide operators with more precise control, whether the vehicle is being utilized for heavy-duty work tasks or recreational trail riding. Despite these modern updates, the platform continues to rely on the brand's signature automatic Dual Clutch Transmission, a staple of Honda's side-by-side reliability.
Production of the 2026 model remains firmly rooted in the United States. The SCM facility, which has been a hub for Honda powersports manufacturing since 1998, serves as the exclusive global production site for the brand's side-by-side lineup. Travis Lee, SCM Site Lead, emphasized that the launch represents the next chapter in the company’s history, noting the dedication required by the plant's 1,000-plus associates to maintain the standards expected by Honda customers worldwide.
Since its inception, the SCM plant has undergone significant growth, now spanning 850,000 square feet. With an investment exceeding $460 million over the last twenty-five years, the facility has successfully produced nearly 3.9 million powersports units. The Pioneer 1000 Deluxe, available in both three-seat and five-seat configurations, is expected to start appearing at Honda Powersports dealerships beginning in May 2026.
